Early in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the “Canker” side quest becomes available after completing “The Jaunt.” This quest offers a chance to acquire a mace and some Groschen. Here’s how to complete it:

To begin, speak with Gules in Semine. Conveniently, you can initiate this quest during Lord Semine and Agnes's wedding, while Gules is enjoying a drink. Alternatively, find him on patrol in Semine. Simply inquire about his former bandit gang and offer your assistance in eliminating them. Canker is the first target on your list.

Upon accepting the quest, Canker's location (north of Nebakov Mill) will appear on your map. Be prepared for potential ambushes from bandits along the path. You can choose stealth, combat, or a hasty retreat. While these bandits aren't overly challenging, skirmishes can drain your health before the main encounter.

Canker's camp is nestled within the mountains, easily missed due to a narrow passage. Similar to accessing the Hermit's house in "Wedding Crashers," a small gap leads to the camp. Prepare for combat before entering, as several bandits, including Canker, await.

Some bandits might flee depending on the order you eliminate them, but most will need to be defeated. Canker, however, remains steadfast, ensuring you can complete the quest objective.

Completing the Quest and Returning to Gules

After eliminating Canker and the other bandits, loot Canker's body. You must acquire the Light Mace, though other loot is yours for the taking. Return to Gules to finish the quest.

Following the completion of “Canker,” wait a full in-game day before proceeding with Gules's next quest, “Handsome Charlie.” Speak with Gules after the day passes to begin.
