Civilization VII: A Roadmap to Global Domination
Civilization VII, the latest installment in the acclaimed 4X strategy series, is set for release on February 11th, with early access for Deluxe and Founders Edition owners starting February 6th. The game will be available across all major platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, including Steam Deck compatibility. A day-one patch will ensure a smooth launch experience.
The game's development has reached "gold standard" status, signifying completion of the core development and minimizing the risk of further delays.
Two significant DLC expansions are planned:
Crossroads of the World (March Release): This DLC will launch in two parts. The first introduces Great Britain and Carthage as playable civilizations, along with the historical figure Ada Lovelace as a new leader. Three weeks later, the second part will add Simon Bolivar as a leader and Bulgaria and Nepal as new civilizations.
Right to Rule (Q2/Q3 2025 Release): This expansion will further enrich the game with two additional leaders, four new civilizations, and several new natural wonders.
Beyond the DLC, Firaxis has committed to ongoing improvements and expansions. In March, players can expect new in-game events and natural wonders, including the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest.
