Devolver Digital boasts an impressive array of games on Android, featuring titles like GRIS, Reigns: Her Majesty, Downwell, and Reigns: Game of Thrones. The excitement is building as another fantastic game is set to join this stellar lineup: Carrion for mobile, the much-anticipated 'reverse-horror' game.
Initially released for PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in July 2020, Carrion offers a fresh take on the horror genre. Developed by Phobia Game Studio and published by Devolver Digital, this thrilling game is scheduled to hit mobile devices on October 31st.
What’s the Concept of Carrion Mobile?
In Carrion, you embody a nightmarish creature, becoming the horror itself. You control a mysterious red blob that slithers, claws, and chomps its way through obstacles and adversaries. Labeled as a reverse horror game, you're not trying to survive the terror—you are the terror. As The Monster, you're initially confined in a highly secure research facility owned by Relith Science.
Scientists have experimented with your DNA in an attempt to control you, but they underestimated your ability to break free, evolve, and retaliate. Your mission is to escape the facility by any means necessary. As The Monster, you devour scientists, security guards, and anyone unfortunate enough to cross your path. You navigate through vents, break down doors, and use your tentacles to hunt. Carrion on mobile, much like its PC counterpart, allows you to unleash chaos and destruction.
As you progress through the game, you'll unlock upgrades to smash through barricades and gain the ability to grow in size. Want a sneak peek? Check out the trailer below:
