Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 has arrived, bringing with it a game-changer for camo enthusiasts: Camo Challenge Tracking. This new feature significantly streamlines the often-daunting camo progression grind. This guide will walk you through how it works.
Simplified Camo Challenge Progress in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
The patch notes describe Camo Challenge Tracking as a system allowing players to manually track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges simultaneously. But that’s not all. The system also cleverly highlights challenges nearing completion, even if they aren't among your actively tracked 10. This is a huge help on the road to Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter achievements.
This feature lets you select your focus, easily checking progress mid-match instead of constantly returning to the main menu. The tracker proactively notifies you of almost-completed challenges, keeping you motivated and on target.
How to Track Camo and Calling Card Challenges in Black Ops 6

To add a challenge to your tracker, navigate to the desired Camo or Calling Card challenge. Press Y (Xbox) or Triangle (PlayStation) to add it to your tracking list. Now you can monitor your progress during matches, eliminating the need to check after each game.
Even without manually selecting challenges, the game automatically highlights those closest to completion. This information is always accessible, providing a clear picture of your progress.
The Daily Challenges section in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 lobby also displays your top tracked and near-complete camo and calling card challenges, offering a comprehensive overview.
Unlocking special camos is also easier. Previously requiring nine preceding military camos, now only five are needed. However, two special camos are still required before earning mastery camos.
The community has voiced concerns about the sheer number of camos and the difficulty of tracking progress. This update demonstrates Treyarch’s responsiveness to player feedback, making camo acquisition more efficient and enjoyable.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
