When is the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event?
The Bug Out event in *Pokemon GO* kicks off on **March 26 at 10 AM local time and wraps up at 8 PM local time on March 30**. That's a full five days to snag all those bug-type Pokemon that might make Misty run for the hills. This event is also perfect for Shiny hunters, as nearly every featured Pokemon has a Shiny variant in *Pokemon GO*.

According to the official page, you'll encounter the following bug-type Pokemon more frequently in the wild during the Bug Out event:

- Wurmple
- Nincada

New Pokemon During the Bug Out Event
Two new Pokemon will make their debut in *Pokemon GO* during the Bug Out event: Sizzlipede and Centiskorch. Evolve Sizzlipede into Centiskorch with 50 Sizzlipede Candy.

All Pokemon GO Bug Out Event Bonuses
Trainers will enjoy the following bonuses throughout the Bug Out event in *Pokemon GO*:

- More Candy XL for Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws (for Trainers over Level 31).
- Sizzlipede can be attracted with Lure Modules.

Pokemon GO Bug Out Field Research, Timed Research, & Paid Timed Research
Spinning PokeStops will grant event-themed Field Research tasks. Completing these can earn you Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with some of the event's Pokemon.
Timed Research rewards include a Lure Module and encounters with event Pokemon. The Paid Timed Research offers a Lure Module, two Premium Battle Passes, and encounters with event Pokemon. Both types of research must be completed and rewards claimed before the event concludes.
Pokemon GO Bug Avatar Items
New bug-type themed Avatar items will be available in the in-game shop starting with the Bug Out event, including:
- Sizzlipede Boots
- Scolipede Jacket
Pokemon GO Bug Out Collection Challenges
The Pokemon GO Bug Out event features Collection Challenges centered around event-themed Pokemon. Completing these challenges will reward you with Stardust, XP, and encounters with event-themed Pokemon.
