Bendy and the Ink Machine is making a mobile comeback with Bendy: Lone Wolf! Building upon the gameplay established in Boris and the Dark Survival, this top-down isometric survival horror title arrives on iOS, Android, Switch, and Steam in 2025.
Remember the quirky charm of the original Bendy and the Ink Machine that captivated audiences in the mid-2010s? Its episodic structure, unique rubber hose-style enemies and environments, and compelling narrative made it a hit. Now, the franchise is back, and this time, it's coming to mobile!
The reveal trailer (linked below) showcases Bendy: Lone Wolf's gameplay, putting you in the shoes (paws?) of Boris the Wolf as he navigates the perilous halls of Joey Drew Studios.
The original Bendy and the Ink Machine, along with spin-offs Nightmare Run and Boris and the Dark Survival, are already available on mobile. Lone Wolf appears to borrow heavily from Dark Survival, though its exact relationship to the latter – whether it's a definitive edition or a completely new experience – remains unclear.
Regardless, the Bendy and the Ink Machine franchise maintains significant popularity, recognized as a pioneer in the mascot horror genre alongside the iconic Five Nights at Freddy's.
The success of Bendy: Lone Wolf will hinge on its execution. While not the first isometric survival horror entry featuring Boris, its multi-platform release (including Steam and Switch) suggests lessons learned from the previous mobile iteration will be applied to create an even more frightening experience.
