Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3) has delivered its highly anticipated final patch, marking the end of an era for the beloved RPG. It was previously announced that Larian Studios would depart from the Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) universe, signaling plans for an entirely new venture. Consequently, D&D rights holders, Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro, are exploring partnerships with other studios to develop a potential Baldur’s Gate 4.

The final patch, teased since November 2024, delivers an impressive array of features. Among them are 12 new subclasses, a photo mode, cross-play functionality, and numerous optimizations. According to the official BG3 website, the patch notes detail extensive bug fixes and combat balance adjustments, rounding out the game’s legacy comprehensively.
