Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator's Global Server to Shut Down

Sad news for global players of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator. Koei Tecmo and Akatsuki Games have announced the End of Service (EOS) for the global version of their RPG. This comes just over a year after its January 2024 launch. The Japanese version, launched in September 2023, will continue operation.

Closure Date:

The global server will shut down on March 28th, 2025 – ironically, the same month the Japanese version celebrates its 1.5th anniversary. Global players will conclude their journey at Chapter 21 (Part 1), while Japanese players progress through Chapter 22 (Part 2).

In-Game Purchases and Final Events:

In-game purchases are already disabled. However, players can still utilize any remaining Lodestar Gems until the server closure. Koei Tecmo promises additional content and events leading up to the shutdown.

Reasons for Closure:

The developers cited an inability to maintain a satisfactory player experience as the reason for the closure. The game struggled to gain traction, with player complaints surfacing about the gacha system, gameplay mechanics, monetization strategies, and excessive power creep shortly after launch.

Final Farewell:

Players can still access the game on the Google Play Store to say their final goodbyes. While mourning the loss of Atelier Resleriana, consider checking out other exciting mobile games, such as the Lunar New Year 2025 event in Sky: Children of the Light.
