Hades II's second major patch, The Warsong Update, introduces protagonist Melinoë to the "Final Confrontation" beyond the Guardian of Olympus. This update brings the bloodthirsty god of war, Ares, into the mix, along with his powerful Boons, which are sure to add an exhilarating twist to your gameplay.

In addition to Ares, The Warsong Update includes a new animal familiar, new foes to battle, an updated Altar of Ashes with fresh art and Arcana effects, and over 2,000 new voice lines. Players can also enjoy new events, take a break from dungeon crawling to relax in the Crossroads, listen to all-new soundtracks, or even sing a melodic duet with Artemis.

Planning Ahead For The Third Major Update

Even as players dive into The Warsong Update, developer Supergiant Games is already planning the third major update, which is slated for release "some months from now," according to their Steam news post. Hades II will remain in Early Access as the team continues to refine the game.

Supergiant Games has shared that the core structure of both the Underworld and the Surface routes is now complete, and they are focusing on enhancing the existing content. After the post-launch patches for The Warsong Update, the team will focus on the following initiatives:

• Hidden Aspects: The Nocturnal Arms have undiscovered secrets that players will eventually be able to uncover and wield.
