MiHoYo, the Chinese developer behind HoYoVerse, has been busy. Their anticipated game, previously known as Astaweave Haven, has received a name change: Petit Planet. Even before a proper reveal, the game is undergoing significant alterations.
For fans of gacha games or RPGs, Astaweave Haven might be a familiar name. However, official details from MiHoYo have been scarce. What we do know suggests a departure from HoYoVerse's typical open-world gacha formula.
Astaweave Haven, now Petit Planet, is speculated to be a life simulation or management game, similar to Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley. This new name, "Petit Planet," is arguably more fitting for this genre, suggesting a charming and potentially less action-oriented experience than MiHoYo's usual offerings.
Release Date Uncertainty
The game's development is ongoing, with no official release date. Astaweave Haven received Chinese approval for PC and mobile in July. The name change to Petit Planet was registered by HoYoVerse on October 31st, and is now awaiting approval in the U.S. and U.K.
Given MiHoYo's rapid release schedule (consider the back-to-back launches of Zenless Zone Zero and Honkai: Star Rail), we can hope that post-approval, Petit Planet will soon be unveiled.
