New Pokémon Sleep Companions: Sneasel and Weavile!
Pokémon Sleep players have a treat! As of December 3rd, 2024, Sneasel and Weavile are available to befriend. This guide explains how.
Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile
Given their dual Ice/Dark typing in the main series, you might expect them in a snowy location. In Pokémon Sleep, however, Sneasel and Weavile appear as Dark-types on Snowdrop Tundra. Conveniently, they also appear on Greengrass Isle, making them accessible to all players, regardless of game progress. Use an EZ Travel Ticket to switch islands if needed.
Sleep Types
Both Sneasel and Weavile have the Dozing sleep type. Increasing your chances of encountering them requires a Dozing sleep type for the night. Sneasel is easier to find initially; evolve it into Weavile using 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. However, you'll still need to encounter Weavile in the wild for Sleep Research data.
Are They Good Additions?
Sneasel's value lies in Wiki Berry gathering, boosting your Snowdrop Tundra team. It also provides an "Extra Tasty" bonus to dishes. Its ingredient requirements include sought-after items.

Sneasel Debut Bundle
Guarantee a Sneasel during its debut week with the "Pokémon Befriending Bundle (Sneasel) Vol. 1." Available from December 3rd to 9th, 2024, in the General Store for 1,500 Gems, it includes biscuits, 2 Sneasel Incense (guaranteeing an encounter on appropriate islands), and 60 Sneasel Candy.
