Weapon damage in NieR: Automata varies with each swing. Upgrading reduces this variance and boosts potential damage.
The Iron Pipe boasts the game's widest damage range but also possesses exceptionally high potential damage. Its effectiveness is unpredictable, but it's a worthwhile acquisition. Here's how to find it:
How To Obtain the Iron Pipe in NieR: Automata
The Iron Pipe is a rare fishing reward found in sewers. Both sewers offer the same drop rate; the one near Resistance Camp is more easily accessible.
Fast travel to Resistance Camp and head right towards the Amusement Park. After crossing a small gap, you'll find an open manhole under a highway.
Once in the sewer, fish in the water. Other junk items, sellable for money, may also be caught. There's no guaranteed method; acquisition time varies. Use your Pod's light in the dark sewer to improve visibility and ease of catching.
Another sewer is located en route to the Flooded City.
