Microids announces the autumn release of a remastered Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest, bringing the 1994 action-adventure classic to modern platforms. This updated version, developed by 2.21, retains the original's charm while boasting significant 21st-century enhancements. The project reunites Microids, the publisher (also working on a new Totally Spies game), with the legacy of Adeline Software International, the original developer, now defunct but responsible for both Little Big Adventure titles.
A new trailer showcases the remake's improved visuals and gameplay. Key features include a compelling narrative, refined level design and controls, an enhanced signature weapon for Twinsen, a fresh artistic style, and a new soundtrack composed by Philippe Vachey, the original composer and a collaborator with Frederick Raynal on Alone in the Dark.
Little Big Adventure – Twinsen’s Quest: A Modern Return to Twinsun
Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest unfolds on Twinsun, a planet inhabited by four harmonious species. This peace is shattered by Dr. Funfrock's inventions of cloning and teleportation, granting him tyrannical control. Players assume the role of Twinsen, embarking on a thrilling adventure filled with challenging puzzles and formidable enemies. His mission: defeat Dr. Funfrock and liberate Twinsun.
Following a 2011 GOG.com re-release (PC and Mac), and later Android and iOS ports, whispers of a new Little Big Adventure game emerged in 2021. Now, 2.21's efforts, spearheaded by original co-creator Didier Chanfray (Time Commando), culminate in Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest. This remake will launch this year on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG).
